Sticking the seal in the rabbet

• Clean the rabbet in the work surface.

• Stick the one-sided self-adhesive

sealing tape supplied onto the upper

surface of the rabbet along the edg-

es of the cut-out section.

– Cut the sealing tape into four piec-

es relating to the length of the edg-

es of the rabbet.

– For the four corners of the rabbet

the ends of the sealing tapes must

be cut into mitres. Do not stick the

ends over one another.

– Stick the sealing tape flush into the

corner of the rabbet, so that no sil-

icon compound can get under the

glass ceramic when grouting.

– Don’t stretch the tapes when stick-

ing them on.

• If installing flush with the work sur-

face, use the sealing tape with di-

mensions 10x3mm.

Sticking on the seal

• Clean the worktop around the cut-

out area.

• Stick the single-sided adhesive seal-

ing tape provided on the underside

of the hob around the outside edge

ensuring that it is not stretched. The

two ends of the tape should join in

the middle of one side. After trim-

ming the tape (allow it to overlap by

2-3 mm), press the two ends togeth-

er.

• If installing proud of the work sur-

face, use the sealing tape with di-

mensions 6x2mm.
